OTTO DISCOVERY

Your ideas. Handled with care.

Otto is an AI discovery assistant, not a person. Use it to explore a business need and create a practical brief. Please do not share passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information, or records you are not authorized to share.

What is processed

You provide a first name, email, phone number and your answers. Conversation text is sent to our configured AI providers to prepare follow-up questions and your brief. OpenRouter routes these requests to model providers; configured alternatives may be used if a provider is unavailable. Their processing and retention terms also apply.

In voice mode, Soniox processes microphone audio for transcription. Speechify processes Otto’s response text to generate speech. We do not intentionally save raw microphone recordings on our servers. You can use text mode instead and revoke microphone permission in your browser.

Where your draft and brief live

This browser tab stores your contact details, conversation and brief so you can resume a draft for up to four hours. “Start over” clears that local draft. Closing the tab normally clears session storage, though browser session restoration may preserve it.

We also keep a bounded retry queue of up to 30 discovery records in this browser’s local storage. It can include contact details and conversation text and survives closing the tab so records interrupted during saving can be retried when you return. Records are eligible for retry for four hours and only for the same signed discovery identity. Expired queue contents are discarded when processed on a later visit; browser storage can retain them until then or until you clear site data. “Delete saved discovery” clears the retry queue and stops further capture for that identity. “Start over” does not clear this separate queue.

On the hosted site, Netlify privately stores the conversation needed to build your brief. Active build jobs expire after twelve minutes; completed briefs remain available to your session for one hour after completion. Expired jobs cannot be retrieved through Otto. An hourly cleanup removes expired job records on the production site; these periods do not describe provider logs, backups or their independent retention policies.

Saved discovery conversations

Separately from those temporary build jobs, we save your contact details, submitted answers, Otto’s questions, structured discovery assessments and brief as the conversation progresses—even if you leave before finishing. We use these records to prepare for client calls, understand your needs and improve Otto’s question quality. They are private records, not public website content. Authorized LAUNCHTAP operators and their development tools, including AI-assisted analysis tools, may review them for these purposes.

Saved discovery records are accessible for 30 days from the time each record is saved. Expired records are excluded from reads and removed by scheduled cleanup. This does not describe infrastructure backups or providers’ independent retention. We attempt to remove obvious credentials and incidental contact details from conversation prose, but this is not guaranteed anonymization; please do not share secrets.

“Delete saved discovery” on the discovery page deletes the hosted conversation review records associated with your current signed discovery identity and stops further capture for that identity. A separate secure cookie keeps this control available for four hours after verification and retains the same identity when verification is renewed during that period. “Start over” clears only the local draft; it does not delete hosted records. The session control does not delete older identities, temporary brief jobs, technical timing records or copies you have downloaded. Raw microphone audio is not saved in our discovery records.

Security and usage protection

Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse. A secure, HTTP-only cookie identifies a discovery session for up to forty-five minutes. Netlify stores usage counters and hashed network identifiers to limit automated requests and provider spending. These are security controls, not proof of your identity or verification of your email address.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page load speed across this site, including the discovery page. It does not set cookies or use your browser’s storage, and Cloudflare states that it does not fingerprint visitors. It reports the page visited, the referring site, browser and device type and load timing; Cloudflare may derive a country from your network connection. It does not receive your discovery answers, contact details or audio. Cloudflare’s privacy terms also apply.

Performance diagnostics

We save technical timing events during discovery, including incomplete sessions, to improve response speed and reliability. These records include pseudonymous session and turn identifiers, a broad device category, software/model versions and request outcomes. They do not include your answers, contact details, prompts or raw audio. Authorized operators and their development tools may analyze these records. Diagnostics are accessible for thirty days, with expired records removed by scheduled cleanup; this does not describe infrastructure backups or providers’ independent logs.

What happens next

You can download your brief and use it with or without LAUNCHTAP. Otto does not book meetings. If you choose “Discuss this together,” we record that request with your saved discovery records, review your brief and reply to the email address you gave within two business days. If that address is wrong, write to tim@launchtap.com. This version does not automatically enroll you in marketing or send your contact details to a CRM.

AI recommendations can be wrong. Validate the brief’s assumptions before making business, security or implementation decisions.
